No family should have to leave the hospital without their baby and these knitted pieces often provide precious memories for families.

Knitting is one way you can get involved with the charity. We collect knitting and distribute around Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. We are often gifted knitting for our bereaved families, and we are extremely grateful for this, we can really tell that the knitting we receive has been ‘knitted with love’.

If you would like to get involved, please see knitting that we collect. Many of the knitted pieces used are part of memory making for the families, the little blankets for babies we ask if they can come with a small sample size so that baby has a blanket and families can also keep the smaller sample piece. The elephants that go to Royal Hospital for Children and Young People are given to families whose child has died and one will be given to the child and one to the family, as ‘an elephant never forgets’.
