About Stephanie:

My name is Stephanie Stanway, and I am a proud mum to three children – my son Arran, my daughter Brora, who lives in my heart, and my youngest daughter Brae. In July 2021, while pregnant with twins, I received the devastating news at a scan that my daughter Brora had died at 30 weeks. Exactly one month later, both twins were born – Brora first, followed closely by her brother, Arran. What followed was an overwhelming time of grief and love – planning a funeral, visiting NICU, and trying to process life after such a heartbreaking loss.

I have found that the pain of baby loss never truly goes away, but I take comfort in remembering my little girl with special days and traditions. I’ve also been deeply supported by Held in Our Hearts, through counselling during my pregnancy with Brae, and through their wonderful peer support scheme. Alongside being a mother, I am also a professional singer, and music has been such an important part of my journey. It took me time to return to performing, but I realised how much singing was helping me to navigate my grief – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Singing has given me strength, and it continues to connect me with others in a way words alone cannot.

That is why I am so excited to be sharing this special choir event with you. Together, we will lift our voices in harmony – creating a safe, supportive space to find joy in song.

I can’t wait to sing with you. This online event is held via Teams. Access link will be delivered via email the morning of the event
