BREAKING NEWS: We are proud to share the first mini film in a new series of co-produced parent stories, created in partnership with Electrify.
Today, we’re proud to share the mini first film in a new series of co-produced parent stories, created in partnership with Electrify. This film features Natasha and Callum, who bravely share the story of their daughter Maeve 🦋 and speak about the support they received from Held In Our Hearts during the most difficult time of their lives.
Their reflections highlight the vital role of our Hospital to Home and Peer Support services – the ‘opt-out’, person-centred, specialist care that ensures no family faces baby loss alone.
Natasha and Callum’s story is one of unwavering love. It speaks to the immense courage it takes to talk about a child who is forever missed, in a world that often struggles to listen. In this film, Natasha and Callum share what those early days of loss were like, the support they received through Held In Our Hearts’ Hospital to Home and Peer Support, and why they want other families to have the same care.
Natasha and Callum received the care they deserved – but many do not. This is not good enough. Help us support more families across Scotland. Let’s make our mission, to ensure no one in Scotland faces baby loss alone, a reality.
The launch of this film accompanies our @Big Give #ChristmasChallenge, where all donations are doubled for one week. This matched funding will directly expand our ability to provide free counselling, peer support and community outreach for bereaved families across Scotland.
At this time of year, when so many families are struggling to navigate their grief, we are taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge. If you feel able to support our work, every donation made during the campaign will be doubled, helping us be there for bereaved families when they need us most. Your kindness truly makes a difference and this is your time to double your difference.
Your donation doesn’t just fund a role – from the remote corners of the Highlands, and across Scotland, you are ensuring that year round every bereaved family in your community has someone to turn to after their baby dies.
Together, we need to raise £10,000, which will be matched thanks to our champion match funders, Steve Currie and The Big Give Scotland Fund.
