2nd February 2026 marks 7 years since we attended the unveiling ceremony for Lulla-bye where she found her forever home in Princes Street Gardens.
For those of you who may not know the meaning behind this gentle giant of a sculpture, designed by Andy Scott, it was chosen as a lasting memorial by the families affected by the Mortonhall Scandal.
This beautiful sculpture holds incredible significance for so many families; embossed with forget-me-not flowers, her trunk designed to look like it is cradling, she represents a lasting national legacy of comfort and support to many bereaved parents.
An elephant never forgets, and neither shall we. X
