Another item from our hospital bags, which is treasured by parents, is the Heart in their Hand Project keyring. Having a lasting connection with our babies is so important and these beautiful keyrings are able to provide this. The centre heart is able to pop out and stay with baby, and parents keep the keyring part as a timeless reminder of that eternal connection.
Thank you to Martina, Robin’s mummy and Sara, Anya’s mummy for sharing your stories of what the keyring means to you both.
These keyrings are created by the Heart in their Hand Project which is run by bereaved parent, Cathy – ” I launched the ‘Heart in their Hand Project’ as a way for parents to be able to offer a gift of comfort and connection to other bereaved parents, at a time they need it most. To be able to provide hearts to families to help them feel that physical and tangible connection to their baby is just precious.”
