Held In Our Hearts is officially 30!
We’ve gone from initially offering peer support and counselling to bereaved parents in just the Lothians to supporting families the length and breadth of mainland Scotland. Over the past 5 or so years we have expanded quicker than we could have hoped for. We successfully rolled out our innovative Hospital to Home early intervention support to a total of 5 Scottish Health Boards.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved; increasing our reach and broadening equitable care for all gestations and ensuring no one leaves hospital without support in place. But this isn’t enough. We’re not reaching everyone.
Our birthday wish is that we can continue to expand our support across the remaining Scottish Health Boards so every family, no matter where they live, can access the support they deserve when their baby or young child dies. We cannot achieve this alone – we need you. We invite you to follow our posts as we reflect on the charity’s past, present and hopes for the future.
