I was introduced to Held in Our Hearts in 2022 when I became a bereaved mum to one of my twins, my beautiful daughter Brora, who was stillborn. That time in my life was an overwhelming rollercoaster of emotions. I was navigating the deep devastation and grief of losing my daughter, while at the same time learning how to become a mum for the first time to my son. It was an incredibly complex and challenging time, filled with both love and heartbreak. During the time followed, Held in Our Hearts held me through my grief, offering compassion and a space where my daughter could be remembered and honoured.
Their support didn’t stop there. They also stood by me during my second pregnancy in 2023, which brought its own mixture of hope, fear, and anxiety after loss. Having the reassurance and care made such a difference to me and my family.
I will always be incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion, and support I received from Held in Our Hearts. Because of that, I feel so privileged to now be able to give something back by representing this wonderful charity as a Community Fundraiser and helping support other families who may be walking a similar path.
