Edinburgh Grandparent’s support group

Did you know we run a Grandparent’s Support Group monthly in our Edinburgh family room?

One Grandparent this month described the group as “a place to find others who truly understand – it feels like a giant, warm, hug.”

We know the special bond that Grandparents have in the lives of the little people we bring into the world. For many, the anticipation arrival of a grandchild brings immense joy, hope, and a deep sense of connection across generations.

Bereaved Grandparents often find themselves grieving not only for their precious grandchild, but also for their own child who is carrying such heartbreak.

Our group offers a welcoming and understanding space where grandparents can share memories, speak openly, or simply sit alongside others who know how complex this kind of loss can be.

If you’re a grandparent navigating grief after pregnancy, baby or infant loss, you’re warmly welcome to join us.

Our grandparents’ support group runs monthly on the last Thursday of the month, 10.30-12.30, in the Family Room at our Craiglockhart Office. The next meeting is Thursday 30th April.
