Fabulous fun at the Fort William Trail Running Festival

Tracy was at the inaugural Fort William Trail Running Festival this weekend representing the charity, talking about her own precious son Lewis and the work we do supporting families.Helen Smith and Davy Duncan put an amazing event on and we were so privileged to be part of it and can’t thank them enough for all their hard work. The speakers were just brilliant and we were blown away listening to them all in their journey. Jay Cruz, who lost his sight talked about his own journey through mental health and still being able to run while being sight impaired. Louise talked about her work in schools and how she encourages others to talk to each other when mental health is an issue. Michael McGuire talked about the loss of his precious wee boy Kyle and his vision to set up a respite care for families ? Thank you as well to the marshalls out there cheering our runners on with balloons and thunder clappers.
We are delighted to be able to say we had runners on all races 5k Park Run, 10k,Junior runs, Half Marathon,Monkey Hill Run up Aonoch Mhor, Sunday 5k and the Full Marathon. We could not be prouder to say we had one runner who took part in them all. Peter Berrie who has raised so far ??£1498.38??
We can’t thank you enough Peter for supporting our families in memory of your own precious son Peter James ???  He completed the marathon despite an injury and did not give up. Peter you are our hero ??
We can’t wait to be back next year and do it all again ?
