Natalie had the pleasure this week of meeting John MacLean, Bereavement Services Manager for the Highland Council, strengthening an already important connection between Inverness Crematorium and the charity.
John was able to show Natalie the updates that have been made recently within the crematorium grounds, including improvements to the baby memorial garden. The old memorial stone has been replaced and now the beautiful inscription can be clearly read, an inviting bench has been carefully placed for moments of quiet contemplation and for everyone who wishes to use it there is the new post-box which was installed last December.
The post-box offers family and friends who have lost a loved one a meaningful way to stay connected. It provides those who wish to use it a private and secure way to ‘send’ letters and cards to those no longer here and a peaceful space for reflection. The team at the crematorium service the post-box sensitively and discreetly to ensure the utmost care and confidentiality.
We understand how important it can be for families to write letters and cards to their little ones so we know this addition will be greatly used by many Highland families.
