Scottish Parliament event; 5 March 2026

On Thursday, 5 March 2026 something powerful happened in the Scottish Parliament.

People from across politics, the third sector, healthcare and bereaved families came together with one shared purpose: improving how Scotland responds to pregnancy, baby and infant loss.

✨ 7 charities

✨ 1 shared vision

✨ Everyone in Scotland deserves access to the care and support they need after pregnancy, baby or infant loss.

The room felt positive, vibrant and full of possibility.

Our CEO, Nicola, along with 6 other charity leaders, spoke about the journey that has brought us here and the future we are working towards.

The change we are asking for honours the babies who are loved and missed every day. But it is also for the families who will sadly experience loss in the future.

Our shared commitment is simple: to improve care and support so that Scotland becomes a better place to face baby loss than it has been in the past 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This work is not just about telling stories of loss, important though those stories are.

It is about solutions.

We shared eight recommendations to strengthen support and improve care for families across Scotland – practical steps that can make a real difference.

Thanks to Jenni Minto MSP for her ongoing commitment and speaking so passionately about her desire to support this work, MSPs from across the chamber, our partners, clinicians, supporters and families who joined us.

Particular thanks to Paul McLennan MSP for hosting the event and for his thoughtful and moving words.

When lived experience, professional expertise and leadership come together, real change becomes possible.

This work belongs to all of us. 💗
