New partnership with Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments

We are thrilled to share that Held In Our Hearts have partnered with Inverness-based Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments to provide a space in which we will be able to offer specialist baby loss counselling and support in-person to bereaved Highlands parents and families.

Following a successful expansion to the Highlands region, we are delighted to announce the development of the brand-new “Indigo Room,” located within the Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments. The Indigo Room has been organised and refurbished by Glen Mhor Hotel owner, Victoria Erasmus, and is an integral part of our expansion within the region.

The Indigo Room offers us the opportunity to provide specialist baby loss counselling and peer support to bereaved Highlands families in-person, and after 26 years of providing this specialist care in the Lothians, we are thrilled that our Highlands expansion will now allow us to support more bereaved parents and families during incredibly challenging times.

Nicola Welsh, Held In Our Hearts’ Chief Executive Officer says:
“We are so pleased to be able to offer 1-2-1 peer support and counselling in our new premises in Inverness. This allows us to see families in person as well as offer online support. We have provided specialist baby loss counselling for 26 years in the Lothians and are happy that we can now offer this to any family in the Highlands and Islands. No one should be alone after their precious baby dies and we will do all we can to walk with families providing person centred and flexible care for as long as needed. We are so grateful to Victoria for making this happen”.

Victoria Erasmus, Owner of Glen Mhor Hotel and Apartments stated:
“We are delighted to support Held In Our Hearts as a charity who are dedicated to helping families at possibly the worst time in their lives. Setting up our Indigo room – named after our little angel and knowing the support it will provide is humbling. The Held in our Hearts team are truly inspirational and their care and passion exemplarily.”
