Nicola nominated as ‘Leading Light’

Like Martin Luther King I also ‘have a dream’…to make sure no bereaved parent is alone when their precious baby dies. A vision of the best bereavement care and compassionate support both short and long term.
I am honored, shocked and extremely humbled to find out I am a finalist in the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards 2018. The category is ‘Leading Light’ which couldn’t me more apt as my son Theo, who died when he was just 3 weeks old, has been my leading light since the moment he took his last breath. He inspires me everyday and left a burning fire that won’t go out till we know that we are doing the very best for families – they deserve nothing less. For those who know me, you will be aware that I am not comfortable with the light being on me as it is not for this reason that I do what I do and indeed it is a team effort – all we have achieved is only possible because of amazing staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters like yourselves. This is where you can help as I am up against some incredibly inspiring individuals so need all the votes I can get.
Please take a moment to vote for me here on Good HQ , if you know me (and know what this means to me), been supported or simply you believe in my vision and our charity. It really would mean the world. Thank you so much. Nicola xx
