Lulla-bye – beautiful baby memorial

We were honoured to be invited to attend the very special unveiling of ‘Lulla-bye’ the beautiful bronze memorial baby elephant in Princes Street Gardens this morning. The weather was perfect and it was lovely to speak to families and hear from the sculptor Andy Scott.
As we left, we witnessed passers by go to see the elephant, touch her trunk and read the plaque. We hope this memorial gives comfort to many families affected by Mortonhall, other bereaved families and visitors to the city. It breaths life into the memory of the babies it represents.
An elephant never forgets….and neither do we ???
